Everton have unveiled plans to give Goodison Park a facelift ahead of the new season.

The proposal to rejuvenate the Blues’ longstanding home would see cladding added to all four corners of the stadium in addition to imagery on large banners on three stands.

Also discussed at a consultation event with local residents were plans for a statue to commemorate Everton’s iconic ‘Holy Trinity’ of Howard Kendall, Colin Harvey and Alan Ball.

A formal planning application will be submitted to Liverpool City Council with the raft of changes are set to be implemented across the forthcoming campaign.

However Everton’s proposal to renovate Goodison is not aligned to their plans to move to a new stadium, with the club currently exploring two sites in Liverpool for a potential new venue.
